Notes

Studio recording, 1969 (album released 1970). Robby Krieger used his late '60s Gibson SG Special with P-90s, pickups out-of-phase, fingerstyle playing. Amp was a Fender Twin Reverb with JBL speakers, as confirmed by Krieger in interviews. No evidence of pedals or effects except possible EQ to reduce bass.

Difficulty

The riff requires tight, syncopated funk rhythm with fingerstyle technique and precise muting, making it moderately challenging for intermediate players.
