Notes

Studio recording, Texas Flood sessions (1982-1983). Both amps were used simultaneously for the solo, with only one Vibroverb miked and the Dumbleland Special's 4x12 cab miked as well. Ibanez Tube Screamer (TS9 or TS808) used as solo boost. Roland SDD-320 Dimension D chorus added in mixing for solo section only. No wah or other effects used on this solo. All gear confirmed for studio recording, not live setup.

Difficulty

The solo requires advanced blues phrasing, fast shuffle picking, precise muting, and dynamic control to achieve SRV's signature touch-sensitive tone and articulation.
