Notes

Studio recording, 2002 (Worship and Tribute album). Guitar is a baritone Jaguar custom, amp is Hughes & Kettner TriAmp MKII. Kemper Profiler sometimes used live or for profiling, but primary studio amp for this era/album is the TriAmp. Pedals are minimal, with Tube Screamer and noise gate for tightening and clarity. Delay is used sparingly for ambience, not as a primary effect. Pickup is bridge humbucker. No evidence of effects loop use for this section.

Difficulty

The riff requires tight, aggressive picking with syncopated rhythms and dynamic control, made more challenging by the baritone guitar's longer scale and heavier strings. Articulation and palm muting are key for the percussive, punchy sound.
