Notes

Studio recording, 1987. The Appetite for Destruction album was tracked with a rented, modded Marshall JCM800 2203 head (S.I.R. #36), not the Silver Jubilee or AFD100. The guitar was a Kris Derrig-built Les Paul replica with Seymour Duncan Alnico II Pro pickups. No evidence of live gear or other guitars being used for the solo section. Effects were added via pedals, not amp built-ins.

Difficulty

The Rocket Queen solo requires advanced control of legato, bends, and expressive wah pedal use, with fast runs and phrasing that demand technical proficiency and timing.
