Effects & Signal Chain

Notes

Studio recording, 1980 (Women and Children First sessions). No evidence of additional guitars or amps for the riff section. No chorus or delay pedals in the signal chain for riff. Echoplex preamp likely used as a boost, but not for delay. No pedalboard; effects minimal or absent for rhythm. Pickup selector hardwired to bridge humbucker.

Difficulty

The riff requires fast, tight palm muting, precise picking, and control of string noise at high gain, making it challenging for most players.
