Notes

Studio recording, 1968. Robby Krieger played a 1963 Ramirez flamenco guitar for the clean riff section of 'Spanish Caravan.' No electric guitar, pickups, or amp were used for the main riff; the part is performed fingerstyle on a classical guitar and recorded with a microphone. No evidence of live or electric rig for this section.

Difficulty

The riff requires advanced classical/flamenco fingerstyle technique, precise rhythmic articulation, and clean note separation, making it challenging for most electric guitarists.
