Effects & Signal Chain

Notes

Live performance, early 1990s. For the riff section, Moore used the neck pickup of his 1959 Les Paul Standard into a Marshall JTM45 reissue prototype head, often with a Marshall The Guv'nor pedal for overdrive. The amp was run into a Marshall 4x12 cab loaded with EVM12L speakers. Effects included delay and reverb, with possible subtle chorus on some live versions.

Difficulty

The riff requires intermediate-level control of vibrato, bending, and touch-sensitive dynamics to achieve the signature sustain and phrasing. While not technically fast, the expressive nuances and control of feedback make it moderately challenging.
