Notes

Studio recording, 2011. Alex Turner played rhythm/riff parts into a Selmer Zodiac Twin 30, sometimes blended with a Magnatone Custom 410 for vibrato/reverb. No evidence of live/tour gear being used for the studio riff. Pedals used for subtle modulation and boost. No evidence of fuzz or heavy gain pedals on the riff section.

Difficulty

The riff requires tight, syncopated strumming and dynamic control to maintain clarity and punch with a slightly overdriven, modulated tone. No advanced lead techniques, but clean execution and feel are essential.
