Effects & Signal Chain

Notes

Studio recording, 1975. Angus Young's signal path was extremely simple for 'T.N.T.'—Gibson SG into a cranked Marshall Super Lead, no pedals or effects except possibly the Schaffer-Vega Diversity System wireless (which acted as a preamp/boost). No evidence of pedals or amp effects used in the riff section. All sources agree the tone is from the guitar and amp only.

Difficulty

The riff is rhythmically straightforward but requires tight palm muting, consistent groove, and dynamic picking to capture the punchy, percussive feel of the original recording.
