Notes

Studio recording, 1958-1959. Guitar was Eddie's heavily modified Gretsch 6120 with a DynaSonic bridge pickup and a P-90 neck pickup. Amp was a Magnatone Maestro 150, as seen in period photos and cited in gear rundowns. No evidence of pedals or outboard effects for the riff section; all effects are amp-based. No evidence of live-specific gear for this song/era.

Difficulty

The riff requires tight, percussive rhythm playing with dynamic control to achieve the signature rockabilly snap, but uses straightforward chord shapes and picking patterns typical of 1950s rock.
