Effects & Signal Chain

Notes

Studio recording, 1990 (Cowboys from Hell album). Dimebag used his Dean ML with Bill Lawrence L-500XL bridge pickup into a Randall RG-100ES head. Signal chain included Furman PQ-3 parametric EQ, MXR 6-Band EQ, and Boss Noise Gate. No evidence of time-based or modulation effects on the riff section. Settings are for studio, not live.

Difficulty

The riff section is technically demanding due to its high speed, tight palm muting, and complex picking patterns, requiring advanced right-hand technique and rhythmic precision.
