Notes

Studio recording, 2014. Both Jim Root and Mick Thomson tracked rhythm riffs. Jim Root used his signature Fender Telecaster with EMG 81 in the bridge into an Orange Rockerverb 100 MKII. Mick Thomson used his Ibanez MTM1 with Seymour Duncan Blackouts into a Rivera KR7 and also blended a Marshall JCM800 boosted with a Maxon OD820. No evidence of additional pedals for the main riff except noise gate. No time-based or modulation effects on the main riff.
