Notes

Studio recording, 2003-2004. Adam Dutkiewicz and Joel Stroetzel both used Caparison guitars and Peavey 5150 heads for the rhythm/riff sections on 'The End of Heartache' album. Maxon OD808 overdrive pedal used as a boost. No time-based or modulation effects on rhythm/riff sections; guitars recorded dry for tightness. No evidence of alternate pickups or effects for the alternate version bonus track.

Difficulty

The riff requires advanced palm muting, tight alternate picking, and precise rhythm control at a medium-fast tempo, making it challenging for most intermediate players.
