Notes

Studio recording for '39/Smooth' (1990); Billie Joe Armstrong used his black Fernandes Strat (nicknamed 'Blue') with stock single-coil pickups for the main rhythm/riff sections. The amp was a Marshall JCM800 2203 head into a Marshall 4x12 cab. No evidence of pedals or effects used on the riff section; tone is dry, raw, and direct. Settings estimated based on era, genre, and typical Green Day studio setup for this album.
