Studio recording, 2003. No evidence of pedals or effects other than amp distortion. Joe Duplantier has stated in interviews that for early albums, including 'The Link', the band used only amp distortion and no pedals, with the exception of a Whammy pedal for certain parts (not audible in the main riff).
