Notes

Studio recording, 1986-1987. Steve Albini's main rig for Big Black's 'Songs About Fucking' era. The Intersound IVP preamp was used for its distinctive distortion, into a Fender Bassman for amplification. No evidence of live rig or alternate guitars for this track.

Difficulty

The riff is rhythmically straightforward but requires aggressive picking, control of feedback and noise, and tight muting to maintain clarity with a very high-gain, abrasive tone.
