Notes

Studio recording for Kid A (1999-2000). The main riff section features Jonny Greenwood using his Clapton Strat with Lace Sensors and a Fernandes Sustainer, running into a Vox AC30. Pedalboard included Akai Headrush and Line 6 DL4 for looping and delay, but fuzz/distortion is the dominant effect on the riff. No evidence of modulation or time-based effects on the main riff. Settings estimated based on typical Vox AC30 usage in Radiohead's studio context for this era.

Difficulty

The riff is rhythmically straightforward but requires tight timing and aggressive picking to maintain the punchy, fuzzed-out sound. The main challenge is controlling dynamics and clarity under heavy fuzz.
