Effects & Signal Chain

Notes

Studio recording, 1990. Gear confirmed for Cowboys From Hell album sessions. Dimebag used his Washburn Dime 333 with Bill Lawrence L-500XL bridge pickup into a Randall RG-100ES solid-state amp. Furman PQ-3 parametric EQ and MXR 6-band EQ were also used in the signal chain. No evidence of additional pedals for the riff section. Settings estimated based on era, genre, and known rig. No studio reverb or time-based effects on rhythm/riff section.

Difficulty

The riff requires tight, aggressive palm muting, precise picking, and control of high-gain noise, making it moderately challenging for intermediate players.
