Effects & Signal Chain

Notes

Studio recording, circa 2009. Guitar and amp confirmed by Premier Guitar Rig Rundown and interviews. Multiple amps were reportedly used on the album, but the SG Junior and Marshall JMP are most consistently cited for the clean/riff sections. Some compression may have been used in the studio, but no evidence of heavy pedal use for the clean riff. Effects like delay and chorus are added post-amp in the mix, not in the guitar signal chain.

Difficulty

The riff is not technically complex but requires careful control of picking dynamics and clean articulation to maintain the shimmering, open sound characteristic of the recording.
