Notes

Studio recording, 1994-1995. Gear confirmed for first Korn album sessions; both Head and Munky used Ibanez 7-strings with DiMarzio PAF 7 pickups into Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifiers. No evidence of additional pedals for the main riff tone; distortion from amp. No evidence of live rig or later amp models for this recording.

Difficulty

The riff requires tight, fast palm muting and precise rhythm on a 7-string guitar, with aggressive picking and syncopation typical of nu-metal. While not technically virtuosic, the speed, accuracy, and low tuning make it moderately challenging.
