Notes

Studio recording for 'Vasoline' (Purple, 1994, 2019 Remaster); Dean DeLeo stated all single coils/P-90s and small vintage combos with 8" or 10" speakers were used on this album. No humbuckers. Not his live VHT/AC30 rig. No evidence of pedals except possibly light amp reverb or subtle chorus. No fuzz or heavy gain pedals confirmed for this song/section.

Difficulty

The riff is rhythmically tight and requires accurate muting and picking, but does not involve advanced techniques or fast lead work. The main challenge is the groove and articulation.
