Notes

Studio recording, 1968, Electric Ladyland sessions. Hendrix used a Stratocaster with single-coil pickups, plugged into a Marshall Super Lead 100. Wah and Fuzz Face pedals were used for the riff. Guitar volume and tone on full. No evidence of Uni-Vibe or Octavia in the riff section. Effects chain and amp settings are based on studio sources and period-correct gear.

Difficulty

The riff requires advanced wah pedal technique, dynamic control, and fast blues phrasing, making it challenging for most players.
