Notes

Studio recording, 1969/1970. Tony Iommi used his left-handed Stratocaster for 'Wicked World' until a pickup failed mid-session; the rest of the album was tracked with a Gibson SG. No evidence of pedal use for the solo; distortion from amp and possibly a Dallas Rangemaster treble booster, but no direct evidence for this song. No evidence of time-based or modulation effects in the solo section.

Difficulty

The solo features moderately fast pentatonic licks, expressive bends, and dynamic phrasing, requiring good control and articulation but not extreme technical difficulty.
