Notes

Studio recording, 2012 (Atlas album). Guitarist for main riff is Luke Kilpatrick. The Kemper Profiler was used to capture the Orange Dual Dark 100 tone for both live and studio, with the EMG 81 in the bridge position as the core sound. No evidence of additional pedals or effects for the riff section.

Difficulty

The riff requires fast, tight alternate picking with aggressive palm muting and precise rhythm, typical of modern metalcore. While not requiring advanced lead techniques, the speed and accuracy needed for the chugging patterns and clarity in high-gain settings make it moderately challenging.
