Notes

Studio recording, 1971. Pete Townshend used the Gretsch 6120 with bridge pickup into a '59 Fender Bandmaster for the entire Who's Next album, including the solo on 'Won't Get Fooled Again'. This is confirmed by multiple interviews and gear rundowns. No evidence of Hiwatt or Marshall amps on the studio recording for this song's solo.

Difficulty

The solo requires fast picking, aggressive attack, and expressive phrasing, demanding both technical skill and dynamic control to cut through the powerful band arrangement.
